It's hard to believe that it's almost October around here. Where did the year go? Just a quick note about Christmas cards....I am now taking orders! Every single card that I make is original because they are all hand painted specially for each of you so they do take a little time to make.
Hello again!
Just wanted to give an update on what is new with Just 1 Artistic Mess. I am now selling hand -painted greeting cards for all your holiday, birthday, seasonal, or just for fun needs. They are 4x6 in size and can be made custom order from pictures you like or ideas or you can have me create something wonderful. The cards are also blank inside so that you can write your own n I am currently selling them for $3/card. If you would like more information and examples of some of my work you can check out the tab for hand-painted greeting cards here on my site or email me at [email protected] It's always one of those days where you just can't wait til the clock finally says 5pm. Today is a day just like that...mundane and dragging on like somehow it will never end. I work a normal job M-F, your typical 8am-5pm. Today of course is the day I'm sitting here contemplating my next painting....will it be a landscape, a dog or horse portrait perhaps, or should I do something a little more abstract? Abstract....what does it mean to be abstract.....I always thought abstract meant it didnt have to mean anything or look like anything but these days what I think about something and what other people think of the same word are two completely different things. So I want to pose a question to all those art frenzy people out there in the world who are reading this (not sure why, you must be bored as well) if you were to pick one thing out at an art festival to buy....would it most likely be something abstract or something like a landscape of mountains and rolling hills, or would you pick the funny painting of the dog wearing glasses......questions, questions.
Look forward to hearing the comments from this one....since this is officially my first blog post. So, with that in mind please do not be rude or offensive with your comments. Until next time! |
AuthorHere's a few tidbits about me: I live in Columbus with my husband and adorable beagle, Rascal. I use acrylic paints and oil paints mostly but occasionally you can catch me with a pastel or just a simple pencil sketching. I think something truly magical happens when you give someone a paint brush and watch the magic....just your ordinary girl here living the american dream :) Archives
